trakt.tv

Open the new Media Center (If you have not updated yet please CLICK HERE for instructions.) Using the directional pad on your remote, scroll over to the Real Debrid Section. Press the down arrow to highlight the Setup RD/Trakt tab and press the OK button.   Using the directional pad on your remote, scroll down to Trakt and click on Authorization. A pop up will appear with a code.     You will need to go to www.trakt.tv/activate on a different device and type in the code exactly. You will need to have a Trakt account and be logged in on the device that you are using to authorize. Once you have entered the code exactly, click on continue. You will be asked if you would like to “Allow Convenant to use your account” Click YES. If you have done everything correctly you will see this screen and will be able to use Trakt within the Covenant addon. Trakt FAQ Will this process integrate Trakt into all of the applications? No this will only integrate Trakt into the some of the applications. Is Trakt free? Yes Trakt is free. But they do offer a premium service that eliminates ads from their website. What is the best way to add my favorite videos to Trakt? We reccomend going to www.Trakt.tv and searching for your titles. Once you find something you would like to add to Trakt, click on Add to Collection. Adding titles to the collection is the best way to be able to access them within the Media Center. Why wouldn’t I just add favorites within the Media Center? Trakt saves your favorites outside of the Media Center. This means that is you do a fresh install your favorites can be easily added using the process above. This also saves your favorites if you were to ever have to delete the Media Center and start all over. Overall it is a better solution then Favorites. If your updater is Spinning – Checking for updates, Please Wait. Click here!

Sep 8, 2017 9 months ago No Comments

Instructions below if you want to skip the explanation. If you are having issues with the Updater app spinning, we have instructions that you can follow to install a new version of the updater which will work perfectly. If you have already done the update and have the new Media Center app and Skin you do not need to do anything. This is only for people who have not done the update yet. Here is an explanation as to what happened. Our updater talks to an intermediary server that tells our main server that there are updates and directs the Updater app to the links that the user clicks on. We learned during this update that our intermediary server has a limit on the amount of hits it will allow in a 30 minute period. Once this limit is reached it blocks any new hits until it resets. We have used this system since our updater was introduced and never run into this limit before. The new Updater app version is located on a different intermediary server with no limits. So once everyone is on the latest version this will never happen again. With that being said, The version of the Updater that is currently installed on your box is still pointing to the old server. So it will not update to the latest one until it can hit our old server and sees that there is a new version. So if you can wait a little while for the amount of hits on our old server to slow down your updater will eventually update to the new version of the Updater app. We do reccomend waiting until the Updater app updates itself as it is the easiest way to do it. Instructions But if you want to install the newest version immediately, we have provided instructions and links below. 1. Visit https://www.skystreamx.com/pages/downloads from your boxes browser 2. Click on SkystreamTV Updater App. Stay on the page for a few seconds. 3. Press the Home button on your remote 4. Click on All Apps or My Apps 5. Click on the App Installer App (Will be at the top of the apps) 6. Click on Local Disk 7. Let it load and then click on the Skystream Updater app. The app will be called v37-signed.apk 8. Click on Install and allow it to install 9. Follow the instructions in This Article   We are very sorry for this inconvenience

Moving your Router for Maximum Streaming Speed

Coax Connection Router

We get lots of phone calls each and every day. Sometimes we get calls that are more about home networks, Routers and Modems, then our Skystream units. Many of these customers are experiencing slow Wi-Fi speeds on not only their Skystream units, but most of the devices in their house. Our first question is where is your router / modem located and how far is it from your Skystream Android TV box? The answers that we get range from, “Wherever the cable guy installed it, it’s in the basement, it’s upstairs, or it’s on the other side of the house.” What most people do not realize is that in most cases you can move your router anywhere in your house that has a coax connection (Screw on Connection.) In the majority of houses the internet or cable signal that is provided to your house from the cable company comes in one main spot and it then is split to all of the other rooms via coax cables. What this means is that you can simply unplug your router, Unscrew the coax connection, move the router to a more centralized part of the house and connect it to that rooms coax connection. In most cases once the coax connection is connected and the router has been plugged in, the router will cycle and then connect to the internet. Voila, you now have your Wi-Fi signal in a more centralized location and will have a more solid connection on your devices. As all houses are different in design and layout we cannot tell anyone exactly where the best place to keep your router. But in general terms the ideal spot for a router is in a centralized part of the house. For many houses this will be in a living room or family room. Another way you can help figure out where the best spot would be, is to ask where you use your Wi-Fi connected devices the most. In most cases this will be the living room where your TV is, which is very convenient if you are using one of our Skystream Android TV Boxes. Another great perk to placing your router in the room where you watch TV is that you can now hopefully run an Ethernet cable directly from your router to your Skystream Streaming Media Player and get the most stable and fast internet connection possible. When the cable guy came to your house to install your Router / Modem, you were probably one of 25 work orders he had for the day. So when he was installing your equipment, he most likely installed it near the first Coax connection outlet he saw. He was most likely not thinking to himself, “Hmmm, where would be the best place to put this router in order to give Bob and Jane the best signal in the whole house.” So if you have a router / modem in a basement, closet, upstairs or at one corner of your house. Unplug it,…
